Neighbourhood Plan volunteers meet

On Monday, 6th March, 15 volunteers from both the Parish Council and Silverstone Village gathered for the first time as we embark on research for the production of a Neighbourhood Plan.

6 week Parish Plan Consultation Period open

South Northants Council has now opened the consultation plan for the deposited Silverstone Parish Plan and Design Statement. 63 organisations have been invited to comment on the plan, including representatives of fevelopers as well as various statutory bodies. Application for the designation of Silverstone Parish as a Neighbourhood Area has today been delivered by the Clerk to the Parish Council by hand to SNC's Lead Planning Policy Officer at The Forum in Towcester.

Horse riding to be banned completely in Hazelborough Woods

Horse riding will not be permitted in the wood as of 20th February 2017. Despite requests for riders to stay on hard tracks, many have not done so and caused damage to grassy rides, which harms the ecology of the woods and makes the rides difficult to walk on.

Grand Prix - future position clarified

The British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) owners of Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit wishes to make clear that recent press reports suggesting that talks have been unsuccessful and that the British Grand Prix will definitely be dropped after 2019 are speculative and wrong.
